If our Early Bird roast is your reliable, everyday hero, then our Peruvian Pacamara is the wild, exotic adventure. Designed for those seeking something truly beyond the ordinary, this coffee is a bold standout in the specialty world and a favorite among our roasters.
A Rare and Giant Genetic History The Pacamara variety is famous for one immediate visual trait: its massive size. Known affectionately in the coffee world as the "elephant bean," it is a rare and fascinating genetic cross between the Pacas and Maragogipe varieties. This unique lineage gives the bean not only its striking physical appearance but also its famously bold and complex personality.
High Altitudes and Natural Processing These specific trees thrive in the extreme, high-altitude Andean microclimates of Peru. To truly highlight the bean's complex genetics, this specific lot is naturally processed by dedicated local farmers. By allowing the coffee cherry to dry whole around the seed, the natural sugars and fruit characteristics are deeply infused into the bean before it ever reaches our roastery.

What to Expect in the Cup Brewing the Peruvian Pacamara is an experience. It is a sophisticated, heavy-bodied coffee that commands attention.
The Balance: It strikes an incredibly unique, delicate balance between fruity and savory.
The Flavor: You will immediately notice a crisp apple acidity, followed by a deep, rich butterscotch sweetness.
The Finish: The cup is beautifully rounded out by subtle herbal notes, the legendary signature of the Pacamara variety.
Whether you are brewing a slow Sunday pour-over to dissect its complexities or pulling a heavy-bodied espresso, this is a coffee that demands to be savored.
