Iced aeropress americano
If you prefer a strong, black, iced coffee then this is your choice.
step 1: Take two aeropress scoops of finely ground coffee, preferably a strong espresso blend for the typical Americano effect but works wonderful with a fruity Single estate too ;)
step 2: Add water (92-96 degress Celsius) to between the 1 and 2 cup mark. Stir and then let sit for 2min
step 3: "Aeropress" it over a glass full of ice. Stir to fully cool and add cold water and agave syrup after your own preference. Try with our Riverside blend, its super refreshing and goves that perfect sweet acidity. ENJOY!!!
Espresso Tonic
A great option for an "Aperitivo" or an "after-hike/bike" coffee. It looks extremely cool and actually does cool you down.
step 1: Make a strong espresso as how you usually do it (Moka pot, Aeropress, full automatic machine, home barista machine... any way is fine as long as the espresso is creamy and strong)
step 2: Add the espresso to a shaker filled with ice and shake well for a looooong time or at least until your shaker arms are shaking from shaking the espresso.
step 3: Fill a glass of ice and then pour the glass half full with Tonic Water (we prefer the brand Fever tree)
step 4: Gently pour the cooled off and shaken espresso over the Tonic water with ice so that the espresso layers itself above the Tonic. CHEERS!!!
Traditional Café Freddo
The traditional Café Freddo or you could just call it an iced Café Latte. If you like your coffee with milk then this is the iced coffee to go for.
step 1: Make a strong espresso as how you usually do it (Moka pot, Aeropress, full automatic machine, home barista machine... any way is fine as long as the espresso is creamy and strong)
step 2: Add the espresso to a shaker filled with ice and any sweetener you prefer. Shake well until espresso is fully cooled down, a bit foamy and has mixed well with the potential sweetener.
step 3: Fill a glass of ice and then pour the glass 2/3rds full of fresh milk or any alternative milk you prefer.
step 4: Gently pour the cooled off and shaken espresso over the Milk with ice so that the espresso layers itself on top of the milk. YUMMY!!!
Swiss Eiskaffee
Maybe more of a dessert than a drink but its so traditional here in Switzerland so we can't not have it on the list. And to be honest its pretty much a Frappuccino so does qualify as a drink.
step 1: Make a strong espresso as how you usually do it (Moka pot, Aeropress, full automatic machine, home barista machine... any way is fine as long as the espresso is creamy and strong)
step 2: Add 2 scoops of ice cream (vanilla and mocca) to the espresso and mixed well until a creamy texture. If you want it extra traditional, add 2cl Kirsch to the mixture.
step 3: Pour into a high glass and top it off with some whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Drink it with a straw or eat it with a spoon ;) EN GUETÄ!!
